Down Syndrome Victoria
In 2022, we have awarded more than 15 full or part scholarships to our Dare to Lead™ program. These have been given to individuals and organisations who are working in the not-for-profit sector, volunteering or have barriers to accessing education. We also offer large reductions on our other services and donate to charities and organisations in the not for profit space. We are a purpose-driven team and we care about making a difference.
One of the organisations doing commendable work in our local community is Down Syndrome Victoria (DSV), who make a difference by supporting people with Down syndrome to achieve their potential.
Over the past 12 months, we have supported DSV by giving Senior Project Manager, Madison Robinson, access to Dare to Lead™ and our Advanced Dare to Lead™.
Why we Partnered with DSV
Sienna Allen (pictured), the niece of Loren (our Head of Business Engagement), has Down syndrome. Sienna, who is quite possibly the cutest 3-year-old (we are biassed), was part of the reason we reached out to DSV.
Since the arrival of Sienna, Loren became more aware of Down syndrome and organisations that are making a positive difference in our community and wanted to contribute. The values of TLS being: Brave spirit, kind heart; Curiosity & growth and Contribution & service, meant that teaming up with DSV and amplifying their impact was an easy decision.

Working with DSV
This month Phil (MD & Founder) and Loren are commencing pro bono work with Down Syndrome Victoria Advisory Network (DSANVic). DSANVic is a group of adults with Down syndrome, who advocate for others with Down syndrome. Working closely with DSV, going to events, public speaking and making sure everyone has a voice, as well as showcasing the possibilities around careers and giving tips on living a full and inclusive life. TLS will be working with DSANVic on how to have courageous and authentic conversations to help make their important message louder.
