Assessment Overview
LSI 1
The LSI 1 (self-description) provides you with the opportunity to take a close look at yourself. In a sense, it acts as a mirror, reflecting back the image you have of yourself.
You assess yourself on your:
- Thinking styles
- Personal effectiveness
- Satisfaction at work and home
Sometimes, this image is flattering and reassuring, sometimes surprising, and other times difficult to accept.
LSI 2
The LSI 2 (others’ descriptions) provides a valuable opportunity to take a close look at oneself through the eyes of others who know you well. It is completed by up to twelve of the focal individual’s peers, managers and/or subordinates .
They assess the individual on their:
- Behaviour
- Effectiveness
This gives you two balancing perceptions – your self-concept together with an accurate measure of the way your intentions are interpreted by colleagues.
Profile Structure
The data collected in these surveys is processed electronically. The results of the two are compared to identify the individual’s confirmed strengths, unrecognised strengths, blind spots, and stumbling blocks.
- Each participant responds to 240 inventory items
- Up to 12 colleagues are nominated to complete the survey
- 2x 90-minute debrief sessions
Gain a greater self-understanding and improve your ability to work as part of a team by harnessing the impact that your behaviour has on others.
Benefits of the LSI
A request for feedback opens the lines of communication between you and those with whom you work, and provides a fresh perspective on your potential strengths and areas of difficulty.
It is particularly valuable for helping individuals to:
- Discover new ways of thinking and behaving
- Improve effectiveness in their roles
- Achieve self-set goals
- Cope better with stress, pressure, and change
This process helps individuals and teams to cope better with stress, pressure, and change. The LSI will help to get you and your team thinking and behavior to their fullest potential, contributing to your success as a business and an employer of choice.
