The most significant learning within the Dare to Lead™ program is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage-building skills through workshops, trainings, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organisations move from armoured leadership to daring leadership.
“You will be challenged to become a more vulnerable leader, to lead with values, build trust and rise above setbacks.”
Brené Brown

Dare to Lead™ Program Overview
Rumbling with Vulnerability
Explore what it means to “rumble” and that the process of rumbling is more than just a weird West Side Story way to say, “Let’s have a real conversation, even if it’s tough.”
- Risk, uncertainty and emotional exposure
- The six myths of vulnerability
- A call to courage
- Shame, empathy and emotional literacy
- Armoured leadership versus daring leadership
- Grounded confidence and rumbling skills
In this section of the Dare to Lead™ program, you will make rumbling become a serious intention and a behavioural cue or reminder that guides you when things get tough.
Living into our Values
Take time to reconnect with your values and beliefs that are most important to you and that help you find your way in the dark and that fills you with a feeling of purpose.
- Naming values
- Taking values from BS to behaviour
- Giving engaged feedback
- Recognising defensiveness in feedback conversations
In this section of the Dare to Lead™ program, you will answer important questions such as:
- Does this define me?
- Is this who I am at my best?
- Is this a filter that I use to make hard decisions?
BRAVING Trust
Consider two important elements of trust. Clear is kind. Unclear is unkind. The acronym BRAVING stands for Boundaries, Reliability, Accountability, Vault, Integrity, Non judgement, and Generosity.
- Building Psychological Safety
- BRAVING – Learn the 7 Elements of Trust
- Trust with Others and Self
In this section of the Dare to Lead™ program, you will learn that BRAVING trust is all about being able to have a conversation from a place of curiosity, learning and ultimately trust-building.
Learning to Rise
Recognise that learning to rise is about knowing when we are hooked by emotion. How do you know when your emotion grabs you?
- Emotional hooks
- Learn to manage yours and identify other’s offloading strategies
- The reckoning: the importance of curiosity as a rumble tool
- The rumble: the stories we tell ourselves and how they hold us back
- The revolution: circle back, rewrite your story’s ending
In this section of the Dare to Lead™ program you will become better connected with the emotions that grab you, the way you respond and strategies for reckoning with emotion.
