Dare to Lead™ Face to Face Workshops
Registrations now open for face to face workshops in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in 2021
The Dare to Lead™ Program is based on research from Brené Brown and focuses on developing brave leaders and courageous cultures. Embracing the research conducted by Brené Brown, with leaders, change-makers and culture shifters, Phillip Ralph, Managing Director, The Leadership Sphere, is a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator. Phil and the team at The Leadership Sphere have adapted the Dare to Lead™ Program to the leadership challenges we face with the current global pandemic. The Dare to Lead™ continues to be delivered via a virtual program and we now have face to face workshops available for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in 2021.
We also offer Dare to Lead™ Virtual Programs
Brené is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Foundation – Brené Brown Endowed Chair at The Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, and most recently completed a seven-year study on courageous leadership. She is the author of five #1 New York Times bestsellers: The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, Braving the Wilderness, and Dare to Lead, which also debuted at #1 on The Wall Street Journal and Publisher’s Weekly lists.
The most significant learning within the Dare to Lead™ program is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage-building skills through workshops, trainings, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organisations move from armored leadership to daring leadership. In this two day workshop you will further develop your leadership skills in a way that incorporates courage, strength and bravery at a level you will not have experienced before.
“You will be challenged to become a more vulnerable leader, to lead with values, build trust and rise above setbacks.”
Brené Brown defines a leader as “anyone who takes responsibility for finding the potential in people and processes and has the courage to develop that potential.”
This course is recommended for:
- Executives;
- Senior leaders;
- People managers;
- Business Owners;
- Educators;
- Coaches
If you want to move from armored leadership to daring leadership, and encourage others in your team to be courageous, this leadership and development program will inspire you to dare greatly, rise strong and brave the wilderness.
This program is delivered in virtual programs and public face to face workshops. It can also be delivered as part of other leadership development programs, in-house, on-site and customised to meet the specific needs of your organisation.
“This leadership and development program will inspire you to dare greatly, rise strong and brave the wilderness.”
Rumbling with Vulnerability
Explore what it means to “rumble” and that the process of rumbling is more than just a weird West Side Story way to say, “Let’s have a real conversation, even it’s tough.”
In this section of the Dare to Lead™ program, you will make rumbling become a serious intention and a behavioural cue or reminder that guides you when things get tough!
Living into our Values
Take time to reconnect with your values and beliefs that are most important to you and that help you find your way in the dark and that fills you with a feeling of purpose.
In this section of the Dare to Lead™ program, you will answer important questions such as:
- Does this define me?
- Is this who I am at my best?
- Is this a filter that I use to make hard decisions?
BRAVING Trust
Consider two important elements of trust. Clear is kind. Unclear is unkind. The acronym BRAVING stands for Boundaries, Reliability, Accountability, Vault, Integrity, Nonjudgement, and Generosity.
In this section of the Dare to Lead™ program, you will learn that BRAVING trust is all about being able to have a conversation from a place of curiosity, learning and ultimately trust-building
Learning to Rise
Recognise that learning to rise is about knowing when we are hooked by emotion. How do you know when your emotion grabs you?
In this section of the Dare to Lead™ program you will become better connected with the emotions that grab you, the way you respond and strategies for reckoning with emotion.
The face to face Dare to Lead™ Program is three-days of leadership development training and the recommended retail price, including all inclusions, is $2,975 + GST per person.
