Course Overview
The Group Styles Inventory™ (LSI)
Each team member completes the inventory and the combined responses represent a clear profile of the behaviours used by the team in its efforts to achieve quality decisions with high acceptance.
The GSI measures the constructive and defensive elements of group processes with the 12 styles used in the Human Synergistics Circumplex.
Who is this course for?
Designed for:
- Managers;
- Leaders;
- Students;
- Those in professional and technical roles
The GSI integrates with the LSI & OCI measures to show the link between individual, group and organisational level behaviours.
Topics Covered
The GSI is designed for both temporary and permanent groups that are responsible for solving problems and making decisions. It can be used as a continual improvement exercise or when a group is embarking on, is partway through or has completed a problem-solving process.
The GSI has two parts:
- Individual group members respond to 72 statements describing aspects of teamwork behaviour, such as team effectiveness, solution acceptance, solution quality and team synergy. This takes about 15 minutes.
- The team members score their own surveys, and profile their individual and combined results. This takes 10-15 minutes.
Course Duration
- Each participant responds to 240 inventory items;
- The people they nominate to complete the inventory items about themselves also complete the questions;
- 2 debriefs of approximately 90 minutes are scheduled once the reports are compiled
- If a team completes the LSI, we can also run a group workshop to discuss the results.
Learning Outcomes
- Data is collected in an online portal and processed in real time.
- Participants receive access to their own result as well as the Team’s;
- the portal also contains an integrated development guide.
- One of our consultants will guide the team through their results and facilitate the team to have the conversation that matters: how are we performing?
