Rudi has been immersed in the field of adult learning and leadership development for over 7 years with a focus on coaching managers and new executives making career transitions and developing their authentic leadership styles. He recognizes that these skills are cultivated over time, and require self-acceptance, and a genuine curiosity of how they and others see and interpret situations. Rudi helps these professionals set up systems that support reflection and experimentation. Over time, this improves their capacity to make sound and timely decisions under complexity. He enjoys guiding them through this process.
Rudi has coached clients, from first-time managers to early tenure executives, led core leadership workshops, and implemented professional development plans in the financial services, mining, agriculture, and education sectors across South-East Asia and Australia.
Prior to his career in Leadership Development, he worked as Technology Consultant and Operational Excellence Project Leader in Big 4 consulting firms working on Change and Transformational initiatives in the Airlines, Mining, Telecommunications, and Government sectors across Australia, Europe, South-East Asia, and Africa.
Rudi began his career as a software engineer and worked in Australia and the Netherlands as a Systems Integration (SI) Consultant on large-scale transformation projects in the Telecommunications, Travel and Transportation, and Mining sectors. After completing an MBA in 2006, he worked for two consulting firms: Accenture Amsterdam in 2006, as a SI Consultant & Architect, and then in 2011 at Deloitte as an Operational Excellence Project Leader. Rudi’s consulting clients in the Netherlands, Singapore, and Australia include Air France KLM, KPN, T-Mobile, ASML, Singapore Government Investment Corporation, BHP, Rio Tinto, and Caterpillar.
While leading teams at Deloitte, Rudi began to realise that the success of any organisational change and transformation was incumbent upon effective Leadership. Therefore he left Deloitte to Study an Executive Masters in Change, with a focus on organisational psychology, at INSEAD and attended the New Ventures West Integral Professional Coaching Course. Since 2014, Rudi has worked as a Leadership consultant, facilitator, and coach working with emerging and early executives across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. His clients include BHP, Rio Tinto, Cisco, Google Cloud, INSEAD, EMD Serono, Caterpillar, Standard Chartered Bank, Banca Intesa Sanpaolo, Experian, East-West Seed International, INSEAD and Cognita Holdings.
